How Depop fees work

US sellers on Depop pay one fee on a normal sale: payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45. There is no selling fee. On a $50 sale, processing is $2.10 and you keep $47.90.

Depop's seller fees page says: "No Depop Selling fees will be charged to sellers based in the UK, US, or AUS." The 10% selling fee you may have read about applies only to sellers outside those countries.

Processing is charged on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. Depop's state sales tax page confirms tax is included when it works out the fee. If a buyer bundles several items, the processing fee applies once per bundle.

Boosted listings

Boosting is optional. If a buyer finds your boosted listing and buys it within 28 days, Depop charges a 12% boosting fee.

  • If you ship with a Depop shipping label, the 12% is charged on the item price only.
  • If you arrange your own shipping, it is charged on the item price plus the shipping cost.
  • It is never charged on sales tax.

A boosted $50 sale shipped with a Depop label costs $6.00 in boosting plus $2.10 in processing, so you keep $41.90. Tick "Boosting fee" in the calculator above to include it.

How to pay less on Depop

  • Use a Depop label on boosted sales. The boosting fee then skips the shipping cost.
  • Bundle items. The $0.45 fixed part of processing is charged once per bundle, not per item.
  • Boost selectively. The 12% fee only applies when a sale comes from the boost, but it is far larger than processing on the same sale.

What changed recently

In July 2024, Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers and moved to a buyer-paid marketplace fee. For listings created from March 23, 2026, the US boosting fee is 12%. Depop's pages do not say what boosted listings created before that date pay.
